Healing Hearts Animal Rescue

During this session children will learn about the animals at the horse sanctuary. One hour minimum will be dedicated time volunteering with the needs of the ranch. These tasks could include: grooming (bathing, washing or brushing), light mucking of stalls, replenishing waters and giving treats. Sometimes the time may extend based on the interest of the children. Children that are wanted to keep a further distance from the animals are welcome to do read stories to the horses, rake and other opportunities as provided. Individuals may be able to walk horses under the guidance of Philip and other dedicated volunteers. This location is for you if you are interested in supporting a local non-profit, playing with peers and learning about the impact the rescue has on the greater Phoenix area. All children must wear closed toed shoes to work with the horses. Apart from the volunteering opportunity the children will have opportunities to work on skills based projects and themed activities. CHILDREN WILL BE EXPECTED TO ASSIST WITH VOLUNTEERING. PLEASE ONLY COME TO THIS LOCATION IF YOU ARE WANTED TO TEACH YOUR CHILDREN ABOUT COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND HORSES.
