Welcome to Peterson Performance and Coaching’s At-Home Orchestra Program! Our goal is to create a positive, engaging environment where students not only learn to play an instrument, but also develop confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love of music. Students will learn to play violin, viola, cello, or bass in a small-group setting that mirrors a traditional school orchestra program, while allowing for more individualized attention and support. Throughout the year, students will build strong foundational skills including: 🎼 Note naming and music reading 🎶 Basic music theory concepts 🎻 Proper technique and posture 🎵 Ensemble playing and listening skills We believe learning music should be both structured and fun—classes include engaging activities, group playing, and a supportive environment where students enjoy making music together. Performances: Students will have the opportunity to showcase their progress in two concerts during the year: -Christmas Concert (December) A fun and festive performance where students share holiday music with family and friends. -Spring Concert (End of School Year) A culminating performance highlighting everything students have learned throughout the year. These concerts are a great way for students to build confidence, set goals, and celebrate their hard work. What Makes This Program Special -Small class sizes (5–10 students) -Beginner-friendly and supportive environment -Structured like a school orchestra program -Focus on both learning and enjoyment -Opportunities to perform and grow as a musician
